Our Name and Its Origin
We are proud to be Sunrise Primary School, a name chosen by our community, for our community. In 2025, through a series of workshops and a Facebook poll, local families and residents came together to help name our new school, following the Department of Education’s official naming process. The response was clear and heartfelt: Sunrise Primary School was the overwhelming favourite.
The name beautifully reflects our location on Sunrise Boulevard and captures the spirit of new beginnings, warmth, and hope. It speaks of the kind of school we are building together, a place where every child is welcomed, every voice matters, and every day begins with possibility.
Our Logo
The Sunrise logo captures our school’s commitment to provide our community a place where we can all come together and be inspired to be part of something amazing. The blue light arcs are the five domains that have the greatest impact on student achievement and progress.
