At Sunrise Primary School, we are committed to meeting the diverse learning needs of every student. Our teachers work collaboratively to ensure all children can access and succeed within the Western Australian Curriculum, supported by high expectations and a culture of care.
We use a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to guide our approach to wellbeing, behaviour, and learning. This framework ensures that every student receives the right level of support, whether it’s universal classroom strategies, targeted small-group intervention, or intensive individual assistance. Our focus is always on helping each child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Partnerships with parents, caregivers, and external agencies are central to our work. We believe that when families and schools work together, students achieve their very best.
We also recognise and nurture the strengths of gifted and talented students, who come from all backgrounds and communities. At Sunrise, we aim to identify these students early and provide opportunities that challenge and extend their learning.
Students at Sunrise benefit from:
- Tailored support across all learning areas;
- Student abilities are fostered through appropriate educational provision; and
- Small-group programs and extracurricular activities offered before school, during lunch, and after school.
At Sunrise Primary School, every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to shine.
